Beyond the Page

Beyond the Page with Candy Lane

October 25, 2010

Lets go Beyond the Page with Christy and Vicki and the fabulous range that is Candy Lane!

Hi there.  It is Vicki here to share a recipe book which I have created (with a little help from my girls!). When I opened the Candy Lane range from Kaisercraft  it was school holidays so there were a couple of little girls in the house eager to help.  They were so taken with the range and were just in awe of its colours and of course they just loved the CUPCAKES!!  When I asked them what we should do with all these cupcakes – the first response was to make a recipe book for all our favourite sweet treats – so here it is:

Our first decision was what recipes we were going to put in it – so we narrowed it down to cakes, muffins, cookies and slices and away we went.

The front page was fun to make with the chipboard shapes in the range – we decided on the teapot, cups and flowers and added rhinestone strips for the water from the teapot!

and so on to the pages…

the journal tags…

and the 6″ paper pads…

were perfect for these pages…

and to finish some embossing and ribbons.

Materials list:  Kaisercraft – Tabbed Album, Kaisercraft – Candy Lane – 6” Paper Pad, Kaisercraft – Candy Lane – Tutti Fruit, Kaisercraft – Candy Lane – Sherbert, Kaisercraft – Candy Lane – Raspberry Fizz, Kaisercraft – Candy Lane – Mango Drops, Kaisercraft – Candy Lane – Toffee Apple, Kaisercraft – Candy Lane – Strawberry Sundae, Kaisercraft – Candy Lane – Chipboard, Kaisercraft – Candy Lane – Die Cuts, Kaisercraft – Candy Lane – Embellishment Pack- Rhinestone Flowers, Kaisercraft – Rhinestone Strips, Kaisercraft – Mini Alphas (Black), Kaisercraft – Ribbons, Kaisercraft Ink – Lipstick / Hot Pink, Cuttlebug embossing folder – Deb Devine, Scallop edged Punch

Now to fill the recipe book with all our favourite recipes!!

:) Vicki

Greetings Scrappers!  Christy here sharing another wonderful new release in the Beyond The Page category here at Kaiser.  When I got this little chest of drawers in my box full of design team goodies I couldn’t have been more thrilled and I instantly knew what purpose I would have for it.  As some of you know I have a new baby girl in my house who is just starting to get enough hair to hold a barette.  Now this may sound all sweet and stuff but I also have  2 almost 3 year old boy/monster who loves to place these barettes and “pretties” everywhere they aren’t supposed to go.  My solution, my new little chest of drawers!

I kept my embellishments simple this time for several reasons, #1 I like it that way, and #2 do you remember me mentioning the “monster” in my house?  Well, I plan on keeping this in a place he just might be able to reach and anything additional would be a candidate for being destroyed.  Oh the practicalities of motherhood:-)

Supplies:  Chest of Drawers SB2088, Paper Pack PP832, Rhinestone Embellishments SB700-Silver, Other:  Spray Paint-White
