High Tea Planner set up with Kylie

April 5, 2017

Hello lovelies, Kylie with you all again today.

I’m talking planners today and I’m going to show you how I create some unique accessories for my planner!I’m going to be using the new ‘High Tea’ collection. I adore this collection with its delicate florals and pastels…..It screams KYLIE!

Several months ago Kaisercraft released a superb range of planners.Have you seen them?? Let me  refresh your memory….

Each planner already comes with beautiful inserts and dividers. But wouldn’t it be fun to create your own to add in as well? That’s what I have done….Here is a little look at the dividers and accessories I made.

My first divider is a shaker.I added in some sequins and enclosed my divider in a plastic sleeve with my fuse tool. This page has been set up kind of as my welcome page! Because Kaisercraft 12 x 12 papers are dual sided, the back looks as pretty as the front.

Here is a close up of the shaker dashboard.I think it’s my favourite.I have used a clear text sticker as the centred quote.

Next is my first tabbed divider.I have laminated all my tabbed dividers.

And my second….

And final. I made three tabbed dividers, but you can make as many as you like!

All those florals! I just had to make some paper clips from the collectables too. For storage of important receipts etc, I also made a pocket divider, again using a clear quote sticker…..

One last little extra was a punched bookmark. These are great for placing in your planner at a current weekly page setup, so you can find where you are up to easily. It has also been laminated for durability.

So there you have it friends.I hope you enjoyed seeing my project today!

Until next time,

Kylie xo

Card Making Do not use this category Kaiser Mists Mixed Media Cards Wildflower

Quick Watercolour Cards with Kylie plus Video.

March 14, 2017

Hello friends, Kylie with you all again today!

I’m sharing how to make some gift cards that you will find are so quick and you will find yourself creating them in no time! I’m using the new ‘Wildflower’ collection. This range has a beautiful, soft theme of florals and watercolour prints in a gorgeous pastel colour palette.

Here is a little look at my completed cards-

I was really happy with the completed result of these cards.I’d love to share with you how I made them and there is also a short video process you can watch as well. But first here is what you will need-

I am using the PS484 Sentiments Gloss paper. It has different quotes on 12 cards that you can seperate for your projects.I am also using the following-

Your favourite Kaiser Mist colours.(Be adventurous and add lots of different colours!)

Some double sided tape and foam dots or tape.

Water mist spray bottle.

Plastic packaging bag or sandwich bag.

PP1016 Wildflower Paper Pad and CT878 Collectables.

Once you have your supplies gently fold and tear which quote card you would like to use.I also like to trim off the perforated edge so it has a neat finish.

Next take your plastic packaging bag or sandwich bag and spray your Kaiser Mist colours together in a cluster. You don’t need to go crazy, less is more for this technique. Then spray over the Kaiser Mist with the water mist. This is totally optional, I find by doing so gives a softer result. If bold is your tune then don’t add your water.

*TIP- Don’t over spray or saturate.

Next, take your sentiments card and face down press over the watercolours on the plastic bag.Keep moving and pressing the card around until you are happy with the result.Allow it to dry fully!  It will look a little something like this-

Next take your fave piece of paper from the paper pad….(It will be hard to decide as they are all so pretty!)……And fold it in half.Using the sentiments card as a guide, trim down the paper to size, allowing a slight border.

*TIP- Do make sure the Kaiser Mist is fully dry!

Using double sided tape, adhere the card to the backing…..

All that is left to do now is embellish. I told you they were quick! Once you have finished you will have some pretty little gift tags like these…………..

I hope my tutorial has given you some inspiration today.I have also prepared a short process video for you to watch as well.Enjoy!!

Until next time,

Card Making

Hanami Garden slider card tutorial with Kylie.

February 17, 2017

Hello lovely friends!

It’s Kylie with you all again today, sharing an easy slider card you can make using a bobbin.I am using the new Hanami Garden collection for my card.

Here’s a closer look at my completed card.

I really love how this collection offers so many colour way choices, yet keeps the same theme.I have opted for a pink, black and gold colour palette for my card. The Cherry Blossoms from the collectables are soooo pretty!

I like making slider cards as they add that little bit of interest to the front of your card. You can also make them to any size you like.

I really loved the clear stamps that came with this collection. In particular the Cherry Blossom. Here you can see I have stamped it onto vellum and embossed it as an extra feature.

Lots of the collectables have been used, layered upon each other to create dimension and texture.

Here is a short video of how I made my card.

I really hope you have enjoyed my project today and you have a go at making your own slider card.

Until next time,

Kylie xoxo

‘Cherish’- A layout using Cherry Tree Lane with Kylie

January 9, 2017

Hello lovely ones, and a Happy New Year to you all. I hope 2017 brings much love and happiness. My first project to share for the New Year is a layout using the new Cherry Tree Lane collection. A beautiful, “vintage” styled range featuring lots of papers and die cuts in a ‘letter writing’ and romantic theme. What first drew me to this new collection was the clever blend of hues.I love the soft greens and maroons together!

I wanted to create a styled layout that had many layers of varying papers.Made to look like layers of fabric, which was easy to do thanks to the sweet florals and printed designs. Here is a little look at my completed layout:

I’ve layered as many pieces of paper as I could for the background, also rolling the edges a little for texture.

With the ‘Cherish’ wooden flourish I was able to add more of the maroon to my page.I actually coloured it first with the ‘Shiraz’ Kaiser Mist before adding a touch of gold embossing powder to the top half. I really liked the end result. Kaiser Mists are great for adding colour to your wooden flourishes.A helpful tip is to undercoat first with white gesso, then keep adding coats of your Kaiser Mist until the level of colour has been achieved.

I loved the postcard prints that came with this collection and used some as a backing to my photo cluster.

I also fussy cut some flowers to tuck in behind also.

From this angle you can see the lovely layers and textures I was able to achieve with this layout.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing it today!

Until next time,

Design Team Scrapbooking layout Tutorial Tuesday

“.P.S. I love you layout” plus video with Kylie

December 13, 2016

Hello Kaisercraft friends! It’s Kylie with you all again today. How can it be December already?? This year sure has flown!

Today I am sharing a layout I have created using the new .P.S. I love you range. This truly is a stunning collection and I have also filmed a process video for you all, showing how I created my design. Thanks to the tones and styles of paper design I was immediately drawn to create something in shabby chic theme, with lots of delicate textures.

Here are a few photo’s –

I have used lots of different products from the range to create texture. Templates, Kaisermist and stamping are a key factor.

I loved all the wooden flourishes in this collection and couldn’t resist embossing them for a touch of glitter.

I’m a happy girl when I use flowers! You can see here and also in my video soon, that I have added a little white gesso to my black flowers just to soften them a little.

I love the background stamp I’ve used here!

So without further to do here is a little look at my process video for this layout.I truly hope you enjoy!

Until next time,

Much love,
