A Little Family Time with Blae and Ivy

Hi there

It is Toni and Vicki here to share our family frames using the latest release from Kaisercraft - Blae and Ivy.

Vicki says “I love taking photos and treasure all the family pictures we get, but I really do hate the camera when it is pointing at me!

Last weekend I managed to get some lovely photos of the kids before we went out to see the “Walking with Dinosaurs” show.

Before I put the camera away I set the timer and took a photo of all of us together.

I know we won’t probably do that again for a while so for a photo this special I have put this is Kaisercraft’s Six Frame Photo Display.

I used Kaisercraft Paint in Antique White and Black for the frame – adding some crackle medium in between the two coats.

I use Blae and Ivy papers as the base and then added Wooden Flourishes – Iron Gates and Keys – and a few paper blooms.

The frame was finished off with my all time favourite quote.

Hi there,

It’s Toni here to share my Family Memories Frame made with Blae & Ivy.

I love this range of paper and it’s perfect for heritage style layouts and beyond the page.

This is why I decided to use it for this frame to hold some photos from when I was a child. I have very few of these so the ones I do have are precious.

I painted the 6 frame photo display black, then sanded some of the edges to give it a distressed look. Then using the leaves stamp I randomly stamped some leaves on the frame and embossed them with a gilded embossing powder.

Blae & Ivy Valley is perfect for this frame. The individual pieces fit in the spaces on the frame. I distressed and inked each of the pieces I wanted to use and sanded the photos to give the heritage look. The colours of the paper work perfectly with black and white photos. I also used some of the journalling tags as a base for the title and the photo in the larger frame.

I also added a quote in the bottom corner to fit in with the theme of the frame.

I finished off the frame with wooden flourishes, pearls, paper blooms and lace.
