August 6, 2012

Hello and welome to the blog for another week! Today, Hetty and Trudi are showcasing the Sears & Son Collection.  We have some layouts which will surely inspire you.

First up is Hetty’s layout…

‘Moments Together’ Layout by Hetty Hall

Materials Used: Tailor (P895), Trilby (P896), Bowler Hat (P892), Sidecar (P898), Gentleman (P893), Pocket Watch (P899), Pennyfarthing (FL355), Paper Tags & Shapes (EM925), Mini Paper Blooms (F652).

Other: Twine, thread, staples, ink.

Hetty says:
“This photo is of my husband, his brother and his dad. His dad past away a few years ago and I thought this might be a nice tribute layout for him. I loved doing a masculine layout. It was fun to rough up the edges of the papers a bit! I used a bit of sewing and some staples for that added a vintage look.”

Next we have Trudi’s layout…

‘One of a Kind’ Layout by Trudi Harrison

Kaisercraft Products:
Sears & Son – P892 Bowler Hat, P894 Charming, P896 Trilby, PS129 Icons Specialty Gloss, CS839 Clear Stamps, PP874 Paper Pad, CT720 Collectables
Other:
String, Ink – Pinecone, WRMK Punch,  Scallop Border Punch, Die cutting: Doily, Frame

Trudi Says:
“Although this collection is quite masculine and the toning sombre,  it was still well suited for this moment captured of my two girls.  Coincidentally, it would be Father’s Day last year when it was taken.  A touch of flair was added with a decorative die cut created with the ‘Trilby’ patterned paper and a WRMK punch.”
