What´s cooking, good looking?
Layout – Monika Martinson
I love the retro feeling of Nans favourites Collection. I used a black and white photo and hand made elements to enhance that feeling. I do a lot of A4 layouts so I was especially happy for the A4 sized specialty paper.
Items used: Papers P610 Shortbread and P615 Lemon Slice, JT613 Mini Journal Tags Various Die cut shapes, PS134 Jam Drop A4 Specialty – Die Cut, FL343 Fork, Knife, Spoon, CB121 Printed Chipboard, PP836 Paper Pad
Other: Handmade crochet flower, crochet lace

I love the lacey element to this range – doesn’t it just remind you of your Grandma or Nana? Anyway, my girls were so proud that they had cooked their very first meal all by themselves – albeit, not the most healthy meal , but hey, at least they did it all by themselves and at the time it was a great help. I was so pleased I captured it on camera and so pleased Kaiser brought out such a cooking-friendly range.
Materials used: Nan’s Favourite papers – Lamington specialty die cut (PS113), Apple pie (p611), Marmalade (P613), Die cuts (DC333), Printed chipboard (CB121), 6″ paper pad (PP836), Embellishment pack – recipe cards (EM956), Journal tags (JT613), Paper flowers (F601), Crocheted doilies – vintage (EM951), Paper blooms – coconut (F627).
Other:American crafts foam giggles thickers – brown, Martha Stewart doily lace punch.

Bright and beautiful Bubblegum Hill
Layout – Monika Martinson
It’s not difficult to create with this beautiful line. I just love that it works for so many different styles.
I have used a digital frame for my photo to make it look old and I used an inkpad to color the wooden flourish at the top of the page.
Items used: Rhinestone Flourishes Island Lagoon RS465, Ink pad Jade IP717, Wood flourishes Birds
FL304 and Rose & Leaves FL318. Papers: P631 Blue Lemonade, P630 Tropical Twist, P633 Calipso Punch. CB124 Layered Printed Chipboard, Paper blooms F638 Cranberry,

Hi, Nerrida here and I agree with Monika – soft and pretty or bright and beautiful – you choose. Its seems we both agree that using black and white photos works well too (LOL).

I sprayed the white paper blooms with Maya Road taffy pink mist to give them some bright pink touches a soft touch but still keeping with the softness of the page. Without the pink spray, the white roses looked lost and insipid on the against the background paper.
‘Being you’ by Nerrida Mitchell: Bubblegum Hill Papers: P631 Blue Lemonade, (P630) Tropical Twist (P633), 6″ Paper Pad (PP839), Die cut elements (DC363), Journal tags ( JT615), Colour rubons (RB898), Paper blooms F638, Wooden flourish – Rose & Leaves (FL318), Paper flowers (F601), Pearl brads – pearl (EM930)
Other: Prima flowers, white paint, Maya Road taffy pink mist.

Christmas December Daily Album by Leanne Allinson
Having just recently completed my very first December Daily and having thoroughly enjoyed the process, I was extremely keen to get a mighty big head start on this year’s!! Kaisercraft’s “Timeless” paper collection is beautifully suited for the cover page of my new DD, without it being too Christmassy and over the top. I wanted something subtle and classic. This paper collection was ideal. I love how you can simply add layers to your project, without losing the beauty of the papers.
“Xmas December Daily” by Leanne Allinson: world map (p657), dress form (p655), script (p656); 6” paper pad – Le Chateau (pp824); paper shapes and tags – manilla (em924); clear stamp – Christmas Sentiments (cs761); mini crochet doilie – flower: vintage (em951); classic pearl flourish – chocolate (pl513); paper blooms – iceberg (f630); wood flourish – birds (fl304); grosgrain ribbon – ocean (ri609); foam tape (t303); diary (sb2096) . Other: kraft cardstock; stitching; alphas; ink; staple; string.
Happiness is Homemade – Sewing Caddy by Trudi Harrison
The Timeless Collection ‘Dress Form paper was the initial inspiration behind the creation of this little sewing caddy. It is perfect to have on hand for all those quick mending jobs. The caddy has been constructed along the lines of an ‘exploding album box’ concept. Constructed from strong sturdy chipboard and covered with Timeless Collection patterned papers. I have lined the inside the caddy with felt inserts so that pins and needles slid easily in and out of.
Remove the lid to reveal
Continuing with the ‘haberdashery’ theme and a ‘stitch in time’ saying; I have decorated the top of the box with a clock cut from the ‘World Map’ patterned paper along with some buttons, lace, ribbons, manequin, tape measure, hat pin (from my stash) and of course pretty paper blooms.
Materials Used: Timeless Collection Patterned Papers Ledger (P652), Dress Form (P655), World Map (P657); Wooden Flourishes – Manequins(FL335), Paper Blooms – Aubergine (F637), Sage (F632) & Packaging, Mini Crochet Doilie (EM951), Grosgrain Ribbon – Antique (RI604), Organza Ribbon – Green (RI618), Lace – Natural; Homemade Collection: Journal Tag, Rub Ons( RB879), Embellishment Pack – Buttons (EM936); Class of ’87 Patterned Paper Show & Tell – Paper Strip. Other: Chipboard/ Strong Cardboard, Hat Pin, Felt, Sewing items, Hot Glue Gun, Double Sided Tape, Foam Tape, Ink
Lesley Cooper – Time Capsule
I have used the Timeless collection to create a time capsule for 2011. I have made a Flag Book with the cost of certain goods and services relevant to our daily life. I have also altered a gum container to add actual items of interest inside – tickets, coins, stamps, etc. I think it will be fun in the years ahead to look back and see what we spent our money on and how much it cost!
“Time Capsule” by Lesley Cooper: Materials List – Timeless Collection Patterned Paper Ledger (P652), Newsprint (P654), Dress Form (P655), Script P656, World Map(P657); Alpha Stickers (AS226); Paper Blooms (F638); Wood Flourishes Fancy (SB724); Mini Alphas (MA504); Pearl Brad (EM935); Other: chalk ink, distress ink, glimmer mist, string, cardboard

I do believe in fairies
Last year I started to make some canvases for my Mother-in-Law’s bedroom. I guess I was taking too long because she ended up making something herself LOL. They have sat on a shelf under my desk ever since.
Seeing all of the fairies and butterflies in the Magic Happens collection I started to wonder whether I could “clean slate” these canvases for a new purpose.
And so a fairy garden was born.

Full of fairies,

full of butterflies,

full of magic.

The only problem now is figuring out how I’m going to hang them up in my daughter’s bedroom!!
