A little window of Love

Hi there.  It is Vicki here to share some simple little window cards made with the help of Kaisercraft’s ‘Love Notes’ collection.

You can see that this range is suited perfectly for those little love cards we all like to receive!

I personally love the little cherubs, birds and love hearts in the range.

So I started with a large circle punch with the aim to add a little window of love in each of the cards.

The journal tags were a perfect size for the rectangle window frame.

The small circle punch was a perfect fit for the round windows for the foil seals.

So grab your punches and create your own little window of love.

Shaker Card!

Kirsty here with a quick and easy *lovey-dovey* card to share!

Kirsty Piper; Shaker Box Card. Love Notes Collection: Patterned Paper Affection(P609), Adore(P606), Die Cut Elements(DC332), Rhinestones Clear(SB700), Flowers

I really love using these shaker boxes on the front of cards and even on the front of mini albums, and they are super easy to make :)

1. Using a base cardstock, cut a rectangle in the size you wish to make your shaker box. Cut a rectangle from the centre of your cardstock leaving a ‘frame’ of approximately 7mm. (Ugh, pleae ignore my craft mat..clearly I use it as a base for painting LOL)

2. Adhere foam tape to the reverse of your Cardstock frame.

3. Cut a rectangular frame that is slightly smaller than your cardstock frame from patterned paper. Adhere a rectangle of clear acetate to the reverse of the smaller patterned paper frame.

4. Adhere your cardstock frame to a backing piece of card or pre-cut chipboard as I have done :)

Fill the space with some sequins or beads.

5. Adhere your smaller patterned paper frame – with the acetate insert- to the top of the cardstock frame….

And Voila!

Your shaker box is ready for your next project :)

Going ‘Shabby chic’ with love notes

Hi there,

Welcome to our final week  showcasing the  ‘love notes’  collection, its Karen, Kirsty and Vicki with you, and do we have some wonderful projects to share.

First up, Karen and Vicki are here to share their ‘shabby chic’ layouts using the ‘love notes’ collection.

Karen says “I thought the softer, pale pinks and grey colours in this range would make for a fabulous shabby chic layout.  I have done quite a lot of distressing and inking in this layout , and have given the chipboard pieces a shabby makeover by painting them with Kaisercrafts ‘antique white’  paint, and then applying  some  metallic rub on randomly around the edges of the pieces”.

‘Cherish this moment’ by Karen Shady

Materials list: ‘Love notes’ collection patterned papers, promise (P604), love song (P605), affection (P609), dreamy (P607), wooden flourish-fancy heart (FL316), wooden flourish-cherish (PL329), chipboard alpha #2 (CB107), paint- antique white (KC002), ink-rose (IP712). other: metallic rub on, handmade flowers, Prima flowers, bazzill card, spellbinders die, dimensional magic.
