Friend Card – Kirsty Piper
I have a confession to make. I am scared of stamping. I always make a mistake!
The new KaiserCraft Clear Tags Stamps, Sentiment Stamps and coordinating pre cut Tag Shapes make stamping easy even for someone like me! I could not believe how well the stamps actually fitted the pre cut tags and labels, and how easy it was to make my stamping look good!
Materials: Core Product- Paper Tags and Shapes manilla E924, Clear Stamp Tags CS760, Clear Stamps friendship Sentiments CS726. Hippy Girl 6″ Paper Pad PP828, Kaisercards Taupe EF003.
Mini Envelopes – Leanne Allinson.
Mini envelopes are easy to make and even easier to embellish with the help of Kaisercraft’s new Paper Tags and Shapes. The coordinating clear stamps which have specialised sentiments and borders, are a dream to use and make this project even more fun. They are perfect for holding journaling on layouts or simply for that a special message or card.
To make the mini envelopes start with a 6” piece of patterned paper (Kaisercraft’s 6″ Paper Pads are perfect).
On one side, cut a 2cm x 4cm rectangle from the corners. On the opposite side, cut a 3cm x 4cm rectangle from each corner. Round each protruding corner with a corner punch. Fold each side in and overlap the long sides. Use double sided tape to adhere together. Fold the shorter sides in and adhere one edge to close the envelope.
Stamp your chosen paper tag or shape with its coordinating border, with ink that matches your envelope colours. Add a sentiment to the centre.
Decorate the front of the envelope with the paper tags and shapes. Add ribbon, embroidery thread, rhinestones or any other embellishments.
Materials used: 6” patterned papers – Be Merry (pp829), Jungle Bug (pp822), La Di Da (pp809); clear stamps – tags (cs760), Christmas sentiments(cs762), friendship sentiments (cs762); paper tags ad shape – white (em923), manilla (em924); ink – black (ip707), corn (ip711), lipstick (ip714), forest (ip718); rhinestones – lilac (sb705); organza ribbon – red (ri616). I used the tags I have stamped on to create the background for this layout instead of using patterned paper. It is really a very simple and quick layout but when you use so many of the same elements it gets really eye caching.
Clear stamps: CS760, CS762, S763, Paper tags and shapes Manilla and Raw, Lush paper Cherry blossom P532, Lace Natural Shades EM928. Other: CS
Cards – Lesley Cooper
I have used the scallop tag and stamp to create the message for this card. I stamped the sentiment onto a contrasting colour paper and used foam tape to mount it on the scallop. I added some kindy glitz. I coloured the white lace with the ink so it coordinated with the colour scheme. I also used a tag and the tag stamp to create the little house! Thinking outside the square (or tags in the case) gives you endless possibilities for creating.
“Card Best Friends” – Lesley Cooper: Tags and Stamps, Paper Tags and Shapes (EM923); Clear Stamps Tags (CS760); Clear Stamps Friendship Sentiments (CS762); Hippy Girl Paper Pad (PP828); Lace Pack (EM926); Kaiser Ink (IP713, IP717); Clear Stamps Flora and Fauna (CS707); Foam Tape (T503); Other – kindy glitz, cloud stamps.
I took this photo the other day and I decided to turn it into a card using the Life Sentiments Clear Stamps and Tags. I took a white tag and clear embossed one of the sentiment stamps on it. I then used distress ink to colour the tag. The clear embossed sentiment resisted the ink and remained the white of the original tag. I also stamped one of the sentiments into the middle of the flower and added some Pearl Strips around the photo and a rub on.
“Card Live, Love, Laugh” – Lesley Cooper: Tags and Stamps, Paper Tags and Shapes (EM923); Clear Stamps Tags (CS760); Clear Stamps Life Sentiments (CS763); Pearl Strip (PL502); Paper Flower (F601); Rub On Romance (RB808); Other – clear embossing powder, versamark, distress ink.
Layout – Lesley Cooper
I have used the tags / stamps in 4 ways. First I have taken some calico and glued to some of the tags. I then cut around the tag shape and frayed the edges a little. I then stamped with the Christmas Sentiment Stamps with Staz On and then I used dye around the edges of the tags. For the Xmas Tree border on the scallops, I stamped the small Christmas tree with versamark along the border and then brushed with gold perfect pearls. This gives a subtle but shimmery effect. I have used the tags as photo matts for my photos. I also stamped one of the sentiments onto acetate and cut out to layer on one of the tags. I like stamping onto acetate because it allows you to layer without covering everything up.
“Layout Xmas Parade” – Lesley Cooper: Tags and Stamps, Paper Tags and Shapes (EM924, EM925); Clear Stamps Tags (CS760); Clear Stamps Christmas Sentiments (CS761); ‘Tis the Season Patterned Paper Choir (P563), Gift (P562); Printed Chipboard (CB115); Pearl Brad (EM931); Alpha Chipboard (CB109); Other – kraft cardstock, kindy glitz, calico, acetate, staples, dye, staz on, versamark, distress ink, perfect pearls.
Gift tag – Camilla Ekman
The tags are the cutest and so versatile. I made a simple tag to attach to a flower I’m giving to a friend. The clear stamps with sentiments for the tags are so lovely. I especially love the friend’s sentiments, which I have used here.

What can I say, I love the new tags and matching tag stamps. I love using tags just as an element of my layout, not for journalling. I have used 2 of the large tags as a base to an embellishment cluster. I have also used 2 of the smaller tags, but I used stamps and rubons with these.

The new Kaisercraft ‘Tags’ Clear Stamps coordinate perfectly with the new Paper Tags & Shapes. To create a decorative edge on the round scallop ‘Manilla’ Paper Tag Shape, I have stamped the coordinating round scallop clear stamp image directly onto it. I also did the same with one of the long rectangle Paper Tag Shapes. I then stamped words from the clear stamp sets ‘Life Sentiments’ and ‘Friendship Sentiments’. My title ‘Joy’ has been stamped directly onto my layout – this word stamp comes from the ‘Christmas Sentiments’ set. Although a word associated with Christmas festivity, I found that it was well suited for these happy photos taken recently of my youngest girl.
Materials Used: Paper Tags & Shapes – Manilla (EM924); Clear Stamps: ‘Tags’(CS760),‘Christmas Sentiments’ (CS761), ‘Life Sentiments’ (CS763) & ‘Friendship Sentiments’ (CS762); Tea at Elsie’s Patterned Paper ‘Chamomile’ (P496), ‘Ceylon’ (P499) & ‘Darjerring’ (P501); Flowers – Baby Blue (F614); Pearls – Ice Green; Black Ink; Glue Dots; Foam Tape

Making minis
The “BER” season is here and it means Christmas is just around the corner. So today we are here sharing with you 2 mini albums using the Stocking Garland.
Kerryn : I love the new Kaisercraft Stocking Garland but really lack a suitable place to display it. When I had another look at it though, I realised it would make a great mini album. I have taken out one of the stockings so that it wasn’t too thick for the album rings and have only used a cuff on the front and back of the album.
The Be Merry collection was perfect for these photos of my daughter’s first Christmas.
I kept the embellishments to a minimum and have included plenty of journalling.
Mini albums are a great way of capturing those precious memories that enables you to use lots of photos to tell the story.

LG: Like Kerryn, I thought that the Stocking Garland would make a perfect Mini Album for some photos that my family took last Christmas. Our christmas color theme was almost the same colour as the ‘Tis the Season line so I decided to work with that.
I just love the vintage feel of the ‘Tis the Season collection. I added a lot of crackle paint on this project to add texture.
Here are the inside pages of my mini album:

Tuesday Tip – Plaited frame
1. Cut strips off an old book page. Use a border punch or cut a pattern by hand.
2. Take your journaling tags or whatever paper you want to frame. Put glue on the backside and adhere the strip.
3. Plait the paper strip.
4. When one strip has come to an end, put a new one so that it looks like one.
5. This is what it looks like when it’s finished.
6. This is a card I made using the plait-framed journaling tag.

Trimming the Tree
Making your own christmas tree decorations is a fun, and economical way to decorate your tree. Personalised decorations, using photos of your loved ones, are also a great keepsake. I plan to make them for my kids every year from now on, using photos of them from that year. These tree decorations would also make fabulous gifts.

Kerryn says “I began making these ornaments for the Christmas tree a couple of years ago. The idea was I would make one each year using a photo of the kids. Somewhere along the way though I stopped making them. They really don’t take long to make at all and these chipboard stars from Kaisercraft (it’s actually a star mini album) are the perfect fit for the 6×6 paper pad.

I have added only a few embellishments because I did not want to over power the photo or make the decoration too heavy.
This gorgeous foil paper from the 6×6 paper pad was perfect for the reverse side.
There is really something quite lovely about seeing the kids photos mixed in amongst the other decorations on the Christmas tree.
