Multiple Photo Layouts
Often in the magazines these days we see many single photo layouts, but in recent times the multiple photo layout has proven just as popular.
Last year the girls from the Design Team offered some advice on creating double page and multi-photo layouts, which can be found here, here and here. Both Christine and I have tackled the multi-photo layout with a little something for everyone.
These photos of my husband, Stef and the kids were taken in the garden one afternoon. This is typical of their play together and the beautiful Devonshire paper collection matched perfectly. I chose to use larger photos and spread them over a double page layout in a linear form.
A closer look…
“Unconditional love” by Nikki Antonello – Devonshire Paper Collection, Chipboard Alphabet, Embellishment Pack, Paper pad, Devonshire Acrylic stamp set and Devonshire black rubons.
Christine has also used the Devonshire collection and she has created this stunning single page layout with two smaller photos. She says “I kept my design simple and converted my photos to black and white to help them stand out against the busy design on the patterned paper. Printing multiple photos on the one piece of paper is a good way to keep your layout looking cleaner and less cluttered”.

BTP Journal – 2 Ways
I’m a scrapbooker who loves to include lots of journalling on my pages. I am constantly writing down little snippets of information about our daily lives and funny things the kids say. I couldn’t wait to play with Kaisercraft’s new journal, it provides the perfect place for me to record all of these things until I’m ready to scrap them. I love that the internal pages are lined on one side for me to record my notes, but blank on the other side leaving space for me doodle and draw sketches.
I decorated mine using the Devonshire papers (I love that orange!). I sewed the lace onto the paper before adhering it to the journal and then decorated it with coloured rub ons, which I chose because they won’t fall off with all the handling that this little journal will see!
“Notes” by Christine Rumley: Journal SB2071, Devonshire papers, paper pad, embellishment pack, coloured rub ons, SB524 Lowercase Script rub ons, album rings.
“I too created an ideas journal to record and keep track of my scrappy comings and goings. Like Christine, I love to write down the things my little people say, record the beautiful quotes and verses I come across and any sketch/page ideas I have. I really loved the idea of also creating something that was just for me (not the usual gift items) and the gorgeous La Di Da Paper were just perfect. As my journal will sit on my scrapping desk, I decorated the memo cube to match.”

Inspired by……

Do you ever see something and just love it?
That’s what happened to me when I saw this piece of art while blog surfing.
Art credit: found via Kelley Purkey’s blog, image from TumblrI absolutely adore this quote, the sentiment is just beautiful. I couldn’t wait to use it on a page with a cute photo or two of my kids! I made a feature of the quote by presenting it in a ransom note style. I cut letters and words from lots of opened packs of Kaisercraft rub-ons, it’s a great way to use up those left-overs!
“Give Good” layout by Christine Rumley: Gypsy Sister papers, paper pad, Gypsy Sister black rub ons, rub ons RB801, RB802, RB803, RB804, RB805, RB808.
I challenged Nikki to create a layout inspired by the same piece of art. She was inspired by the colours which are similar to those in the Peachy Keen papers and loved the words used in the verse. Here’s what she came up with:
“I love the combination of blue, brown and cream and thought of that immediately. I loved the words of the verse, and this photo of my Mum and I jumped out at me straight away. The words sum up the kind of person she is perfectly, and they are all of the characteristics I love and admire in her.”
“It’s about love” By Nikki Antonello – Peachy Keen Papers, Alphabet Stickers, Chipboard Alphabet, Die Cut elements, Embellishment pack, (Lace borrowed from Devonshire Embellishment pack).
How about you, we’ve got a fun little challenge, does it inspire you too?
Just scrap a layout using this quote as inspiration and post up a link to your layout in the comments section below by the 3rd March (11.59pm AEST) for your chance to win an alphabet, rubon and paper pack valued at $30!!
