Tuesday’s tips – making your own co-ordinating buttons…

Tuesdays-Tips-20

Have you ever wanted to put some buttons on your project but not been able to find the right size or colour?  By using your patterned paper and some chipboard, it is really easy to make your own buttons that coordinate perfectly every time.

Tuesday Tip -1

1. Simply cut out some chipboard either by hand or with a cutting machine.

2. Then cut a piece of coordinating paper the same size.

3. Glue the paper onto the chipboard and when dry punch two small holes.

4. Ink around the edges and your button is done.  You can even jazz it up further by stamping, or using rub-ons and adding a clear dimensional gloss over top.  It’s that simple.

Tuesday Tip -Renee Ludlow

Materials: Lilac Avenue paper collection, Lilac Avenue Die cut element, Lilac Avenue Black and White rub-ons, Ink (amethyst), Rhinsestones (SB705), Paper Flower (Snow).

Digi novices, take note…it’s our first digital quick page!

Oh my goodness, get excited…here comes our first digital quick page and it’s available to download for FREE right now!

Quick page

This funky little number, called Dare to Dream, was created by one of our very talented digital fans, Carole House, using nothing more than our free Tag This kit and her imagination.

Can you tell how much we love it??

Quick pages like this make digi scrapping a breeze…just follow these four easy steps and you have an adorable layout ready to print or email to friends in just seconds! All you need to do is:

  • Open the quick page in Photoshop Elements
  • Add a photo
  • Right click on the photo
  • Click “send backward” to place your photo behind the photo frame

And just like that, a brand new layout featuring your own photo, quick as can be and easy as pie! This is perfect for anyone who’s ever wanted to try digi but wasn’t sure how to get started, and is an easy way for traditional scrappers to test the waters of digital.

We hope you enjoy playing around with it as much as we did – don’t forget, you can also embellish your layout once you’ve printed it, to get the best of both worlds!

You can find Carole’s awesome quick page here…and once you’re done, you know where to find the gallery, because we can’t wait to see what you can do using only YOUR imagination.
