Saturday Sketch

Happy Saturday to all! We hope you’re having a fantastic weekend (as I write this it’s Friday afternoon at the Kaisercraft offices, and I sure am hanging out for the weekend)!!

Enjoy today’s fantastic sketch using one of our ‘banner pages’ as featured in some collections.

These ‘banner pages’, like the one Mel has used here from the Christmas Carnival collection (P401 Carols) are a cheap and fantastic way to create an ultra quick layout!

Why not try one out for yourself? Or create a layout based on this sketch!

Saturday-Sketch_5Make sure you upload your layout to the November sketch gallery!!

Don’t forget to pop back here tomorrow for another installment of ‘Sunday Scrap Space’ and also next week we’ve got a HUGE week of NEW design team layouts and projects, a special blog post on Tuesday featuring Christmas Crafts, October’s winner of our ‘Be Inspired Monthly Challenge’, another monthly challenge and to top it off a NEW Contest!!

Quick pages coming your way from next week!

If you love Kaisercraft digital, get ready to rumble – because from Monday we will be including a quick page in every purchase of our kits or individual papers!

That means you will automatically receive the co-ordinating quick page for every new mega kit or paper kit you buy starting from next week, with our latest gorgeous classic collection, Argentella.

Here’s a sneaky peek of how Argentella looks in digi…it won’t be released until Monday but we’re so excited, we just couldn’t wait to share it with you!

Be sure to head onto the digi site next week to check out the rest of the collection.

For now, though, we’re more than content to showcase another awesome Tag This layout from our Digital Bonanza competition. This one comes from Sandra van der Geest of the Netherlands, who used some of our free digital brushes to create a completely original – and frankly, extremely impressive – layout.

Sandra, we applaud your use of elements and brushes and bling…if this doesn’t inspire someone to try digi, nothing will!

All you digi scrappers out there…

…whatever you do, DON’T forget to use your 30% off coupon on page five of your Q2 magazine before it expires on Saturday! All you have to do is fill in the promotional code (which can be found on your coupon) when you purchase any digital item and you’ll receive THIRTY PER CENT OFF. Now that’s a great reason to dive into digi and start having fun with one of our versatile collections!

But first, take a second to enjoy  this layout by Megan Holmes, who entered our Digital Bonanza competition -

Tag This (2)

As you can see, Megan has used plenty of brads and several brushes as well as layering a patterned paper behind her photo – and we think it looks great! Thanks for your entry, Megan, and well done on creating a stellar layout that uses many of the elements in our free Tag This kit.

We’ll be sharing another standout entry from our Digital Bonanza competition tomorrow, so be sure to leave your comments for the talented scrappers who created these masterpieces. We’re willing to bet they’d appreciate some feedback and the knowledge they may have inspired someone else!

Congratulations to the winner of our Digital Bonanza competition!!

bonanza comp winner layout

Do you like what you see?

We do…and that’s why this is the winning layout from our Digital Bonanza competition!

Congratulations to Keri Babbit on her “Rock Band Stars” digital creation!!

She said she had a great time playing around with our free Tag This kit but we’re willing to bet we had an even better time checking out her cool entry.

Keri said she’s really enjoying our digital offerings so far and even provided a short explanation of how she created her layout -  “I really had fun digitally cutting out circles and guitars from the patterned paper in the Tag This Kaiser kit.

After turning the zigzag paper on its side, I ‘tucked’ the circle and photo in behind the zigzag, added the detail-cut guitars, and embellished with the paint-splatters, brushes, and brads.  I also used the Messy Square brush to edge the background paper in a fun way.

Thanks so much for this fun kit and great contest.”

No, thank YOU so much for entering, Keri, and everyone else who submitted Tag This layouts of their own!

We had an extremely hard time picking a winner and to that end, you may want to keep an eye out for YOUR submission on the blog over the next few days, because we’ll be posting some standout entrants whose hard work and talent should not go unnoticed.

We think it’s only fair to recognise a couple of entrants who obviously put a lot of time and effort into their submissions so we’d love to know what you guys think of the layouts we’ll be uploading to the blog this week…and we’re sure each of the entrants would love some feedback too!

As a little reward for the great response we received to our Digital Bonanza competition, click here for ANOTHER free quick page (as seen below) donated once again by digital scrapper extraordinaire, Carole House.

Carole is so in love with our Rough and Tough collection, she couldn’t resist creating this easy digi layout that’s perfect for boys and teenagers.

Rough and Tough quick page

Thank you, Carole, for your generosity in allowing us to give this second gorgeous quick page of yours away for free…we love your work!
