13th Hour Layouts

October 3, 2011

Hi Everyone, we are back again to share with you our other collection for the month of October.  Just in time for the Halloween season is the 13th Hour collection.  It’s perfect for all those adorable dress up pictures and more.  The rich fall colors are going to make it a must.  So sit back, relax for a few minutes and enjoy having Debbie, Lori, Michelle and Vicki inspire you with their 13th hour layouts.

“Skater Boy” Layout  By: Lori Williams Leng

Lori Says:
“My five year old wanted a skate board so bad, but as a mother I was scared to death to buy him one.  I knew he would bust something open…so we finally reached an agreement.  I would get him the skateboard if he promised to always wear it with a helmet, ride it only with me and only scoot along on his belly.  So far so good, however I know the day will come that he wants to stand up…but until then I’ll tell him how cool he looks on his tummy, LOL.  I thought the background colors of the flowers were perfect for this collection and the pictures were a great blend with the edgy feel.

Kaisercraft Products Used:
 PS165, Twilight P735, PM P731, Alpha #2 Chipboard CB108, Amethyst Blooms F643,
Terra Cotta Blooms, Sticker Sheet
Other Products Used: Tim Holtz Boarder Die, white uniball pen

 “Time Flies” by:  Debbie Marcinkiewicz

Debbie Says:
“I decided to go non-traditional with The 13th Hour Collection for my layout design this month … instead of Halloween, I used the colors in this sweet little girl’s dress as a springboard for my palette … I adore this purple and white damask patterned paper and love how the turquoise and green come together so nicely in the design as well.”

“Walk With Me” layout  by Vicki Morris

 Vicki says:
“Any range with purple in it is a must for my stash so when I saw the “13th hour” collection I knew I had to have it.  When you have had a look at all the fabulous papers in the range, make sure you check out the stamps which form part of the 13th hour collection.  I have used the textured stamp with white ink on the background paper for this layout.”

“Eerie” layout by Michelle Frisby

Michelle says “this layout is all about the layering.  I’ve started with a base paper, cut out a square, adhered from underneath a cut out square of the Twig acetate, I’ve then layered with black netting/tulle and built my layout up from there using journaling tags and papers from the paper pad.  I’ve used chipboard alphas and painted them black and then used a little distress crackle paint on the top”.

Materials list :  Twig acetate, P734 Dusk, P730 Midnight, PP852 paper pad, JT627 journal tags, EM965 acetate shapes, KC031 black paint, CB107 alpha #1

Extras: netting/tulle, antique linen distress crackle paint, staples
