My most thoughtful gift was a small scrapbook album that I gave to my lovely Dad on his 90th.It was called Lifes Journey and I had pics of the home where he grew up,him as a child, his tennis days, his 21st,marriage and then our family and pics of his 4 girls.I have it now as he is no longer with us. He loved it.

I made sets of 3D patterned paper trees that had been hand stamped and decorated. Everyone loved them. I had people asking to make them sets. They were a huge hit.

When my daughter was born, I made my mum and MIL wooden albums with my daughters picture in them and used the Li’ Primrose series of papers and embellishments :) Really pretty :)

My 3 year old daughter this year, has done a LOVE painting for both her Nana & Grandma. One of the paintings, my daughter used her fingers & you can see her finger marks in the painting. I know they are going to LOVE the paintings.

It would have to be the very 1st scrapbook I ever created. It was to celebrate the birth of a dear friend’s 1st Grand-daughter, so I made one for the new Granny and an identical one for the new Mum. As it was my 1st ever complete album {and I was very new to scrapbooking} it was a real challenge at the time but I loved filling each page with photos we took the day Elyssya arrived.

I hand painted a galvanised watering can for my mother as she loved gardening. She really loved it but didn’t want to use it in the garden even though I insisted that it was absolutely fine for outdoor use. She just used it as a décor item in the house. With her passing last year it has come back to me and I’m not sure whether I should use it in my garden or just leave it on display in the lounge.

One year I made all my friends a “word art” sign with chipboard letters, paint, buttons, stickers, etc.It said “Keep calm & jingle on”. I think they liked it.

I made little scrapbooks for my grandchildren one year and they just about loved them to death because they had never had a book just about themselves.

My dayghter’s homemade presents. I love every one of them. The best part is the look of pride on her face when she gives them to me.

I think my most thoughtful gift is a gift for life. There are quite a few charity sites doing this. Basically you buy a gift, a goat, school books, medicine, a house. The person you are giving to gets a card explaining it and the gift goes to someone in the world who really needs it. These gifts are life changing, for you buying it, for the one receiving the card and definitely for the person to whom the actually gift can be a lifeline. Please please consider giving one gift of life this year. I buy these as birthday, Christmas and wedding presents and without exception everyone says it’s the best gift they have received. Check out THhe Leprosy Misssion http://www.tlmtrading.com/categories/gifts-for-life/?dn=2&do=0&PageNumber=2 , Oxfam http://www.oxfam.org.uk/shop/oxfam-unwrapped There are many charities doing this. I am not affiliated with any. I just think this is a most wonderful way of giving. When we have so much a small gift can make such a difference. Have a wonderful Christmas everyone.

I think my most treasured gift would be the handwritten card with a really sweet note on it that I received from my parents a few years ago.

I like to donate pet food to our local shelter whenever we celebrate a special occasion.

I like to cross stitch items for presents. Sometimes it might just be an ornament for the tree or something bigger. I think people appreciate the time it takes me to complete these projects and they are personal too.
